AIR PERMITTING
Category: Industrial Dryer Emissions
Industry: Scrap Metal Recycling
Project: Air Permitting
THE PROBLEM:
The onsite industrial dryer had the potential to release carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen oxide (NOX) emissions via their industrial dryer. Due to these potential emissions, the facility was required by the the state regulatory agency to complete and submit the proper air permitting forms and to install a baghouse. These requirements were needed to ensure that air pollution contamination was not occurring at the site.
THE SOLUTION:
The client needed the proper air permitting forms completed, calculations for CO and NOX emissions, a flow diagram, and to install a baghouse. These measures would ensure compliance and safety.
THE SOLUTION:
We completed and compiled the applicable permits and diagrams into a package for the local state’s agency and then installed the baghouse at the facility. The package explained the procedures and measures that were taken to keep the facility in compliance with dryer emissions. With all the regulatory work completed, the facility was able to continue with its dryer emissions in a permitted manner
